Inspired Haiku – Senryu

Saint Valentine receives a rosary from the Virgin, by David Teniers III

Inspired by Mother Willow

love tiptoeing
secretes located well
wouldn’t like to say

love racing torrents
floods my mind with desires
missed moments past life

don’t walk in darkness
let love light up you life
change your batteries

light love
still hurts

heavy love
forever and ever more
lighten up

does that exist
oh yes 47 years

young love
bonding ceremonies
get a room

lights off
wife’s calling wrong room you fool
loves like that

  1. Thank you Michael. You write so spontaneously, that is a real gift. Love what you did with this one. Love the spirit photo. When I was young ….long ago…..I had loads of holy pictures (card size). They were very precious to me then. I don’t know when or how I parted with them.

    1. Thank you Hélène,
Yes I do, most of the time, but there are times when I struggle, words like criticise, still working on that one. Sorry to hear you misplaced your holy photos, so frustrating when that happens. I have some, which were removed from a huge clasped bible, my younger siblings trashed. Might find a use for them on WP, maybe, watch this space.
      Take care – Mick
