A Poem – We’ll Never Meet

We’ll Never Meet

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Airing my thoughts.
Absent  friend,
They told me,
The winter of this year,
You have a plan to go somewhere,
Go and see your internet friend via virtual reality,
With your favourite poetry.

When you go away,
WordPress is left high and dry.
When I  read your poetry alone,
I can see your smiling face,
Peaceful vibes hanging in the dusky air
Sadness fills my heart,
Knowing we’ll never meet.
