TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge: Deep & Fill #02

HAIKU

deep throated croaking
fills the late evening air
frogs in chorus
~
deep in the jungle
hunting… once to fill tums
now for money… wrong
~
deep in the mind
forgotten memories fill gaps
a prompt can evoke
~~
deep in its heart
a diamond traps light to fill
true  loves endeavours

  1. my ink well… my heart
    full to overflowing… words
    my passion… my life
    ~
    my blood is my ink
    red morphs to black as I write
    without fear or favour
    ~
    ‘dip in the black pool’
    tar… fossilising nature
    embalmed history
    ~
    the pool of life… begs
    threatened by pollution… rife
    climate warming … real
    ~
    i beg your pardon
    plagiarism not my way
    ‘this one time guilty’
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Hope you don’t mind TJ, used/pinched your amazing line, ‘dip in the black pool’, it alone inspired all of the above, your haiku no exception, brilliant!
