Walking along the seafront.
Taking in the fresh ozone air.
Gulls screaming for your chips.
The waves, each other chase.
The sand at hide tide, a secret!
Low tide, many waders dance.
Dogs racing, chasing balls.
Kites waltz in the clear blue sky.
Otters, if you are very lucky.
Seals basking on sand banks
Starfish stranded on the shore.
Rock pools hiding in the rocks.
Bathers swimming, having fun!
Sand sculptures, works of art,
Beachcombers combing, hoping.
High tide mark a treasure trove.
Driftwood, so much can be found.
Life savers, glad to see not busy.
A much enjoyed walk,
Along the sea front.

  1. The depth, breadth, and texture of your writing in this description of the seashore — just so moving. Thank you so much for lending us your writing talent and being such a vibrant part of our writing community 🙂
