The prompt: It’s night. You’re asleep. You hear a loud crash close by. What happens next? Tell us in less than 100 words.
Don’t Disturb
I remember hearing a loud crash close by, I’d been asleep. the crash was so loud it woke and scared me. I grabbed my cell, dialled 999, and that was the last thing I can remember. When I did come to there was what looked like a lady dressed in a uniform, a nurse, she was screaming, “He’s awake, he’s woke up”, she then collapsed. I later learned I had been in a coma for 15 years, and the reason they hadn’t turned me off was that they had read the words on my amulet. “Rumple Stiltskin don’t disturb”.
